Did the wagon ever actually make it into production? The sedan was only in production for a few months before SAAB went under and I think the wagons in the wild are all pre-production units.

They got as far as pre production. The cars that were made were auctioned off on the proviso that they were not road legal, whereupon the buyers made them so, a long and expensive process in many cases.
